YAC Engages Accra Girls Students on Fighting Corruption
The Youth Against Corruption (YAC) initiative of the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has engaged students of Accra Girls Senior High School on the need to identify and resist corrupt practices.
The session focused on how corruption affects individuals and the wider community. Students discussed issues such as examination malpractice and the misuse of shared resources, and how these actions can undermine fairness and trust.
They were also introduced to the Ubuntu philosophy, “I am because we are”, which highlights the importance of collective responsibility and the impact of individual actions on others.
Some students expressed interest in establishing a YAC Integrity Club in the school to promote integrity, accountability and responsible behaviour among their peers.
The engagement forms part of YAC’s efforts to educate young people on corruption and encourage them to play an active role in promoting integrity and accountability in Ghana.
